Crooked Creek formed in Montreal in 2019. They play bluegrass with the feel of people who grew up surrounded by wide rivers, old barns and long country roads.
Their songs come from real places. Banjoist Tim Loten named a tune after the sheep farm where he was born. Guitarist Jono Townsend wrote about growing up on the Big Rideau Lake. This is music with its boots in the mud.
Regular fixtures at The Wheel Club, Grumpy's Bar, Barfly and L'Escalier in Montreal. Audiences that came for a drink end up staying for every song.
Eight original songs about cattle, countryside and the people who shaped this band. Recorded at Mom's Basement in Montreal.
